On August 28, Congressman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin guest hosted Sean Hannity’s radio show, as part of his book tour promoting his latest book.
Beginning in 2008, in successive versions of his Roadmap for America’s Future, Ryan has explained how to rejuvenate our market economy and spare us the fate of degenerating into a European-style welfare state.
In 2010’s Young Guns, he and Reps. Cantor and McCarthy argued for a clear conservative agenda based on common sense for the common good.
Now, Ryan — who Breitbart’s Joel Pollak calls “the loneliest man in Washington” — offers us The Way Forward: Renewing the American Idea, a combination memoir/policy book which has been generally well received by conservative commentators, including Pollak, George Will, Peter Wehner and Hugh Hewitt.
As of today, Ryan’s book is # 5 on the New York Times list of hardcover nonfiction best sellers (ahead of Hillary Clinton’s Hard Choices).
(Copies of the book, personally autographed by Ryan to whoever you want, are available online exclusively from his local bookstore in Janesville via this link.)
For readers who missed Ryan’s guest hosting of Sean Hannity’s radio show, here are eleven of the best segments, including all his interviews of prominent figures.
Ryan’s stint as a talk-radio host went well, especially for someone who (as Ryan observed in closing) had never done anything like this before. Enjoy!
