* * * * *
All good people love hobbits. As W. H. Auden observed in 1954, they are heroes who saved the day for the Dwarves in The Hobbit, and who fought to prevent evil from dominating the world in the Lord of the Rings.
They are also real-world heroes who, in 2013, are working to speak truth to power through citizen journalism which probes corruption and criminality in politics ignored by the mainstream media. James O’Keefe (author of a New York Times bestselling book, Breakthrough) and his fellow citizen journalists with Project Veritas are likewise beloved by all good people, and for that reason are sometimes likened to hobbits.
Who hates hobbits? Almost no one. Only those who are evil and insane could possibly hate hobbits. In fact, only two characters have ever been caught on film engaging in hate speech against hobbits. Both are clearly deranged, making it difficult to resolve who is the most insane hobbit hater. Please help resolve this matter by watching these short videos of the two hobbit haters, and voting below.
Candidate 1: GOLLUM
Gollum is a fictional character born a Storr Hobbit and transformed into an ugly monster through his lengthy exposure to the baleful influence of the One Ring. He hates hobbits because they shattered his personality by depriving him of the One Ring. Here are three examples of his insane ravings against hobbits:
Candidate 2: JIM LETTEN
Jim Letten is a real-world character born human and transformed into an ugly monster through his lengthy exposure to the baleful influence of Louisiana corruption. He hates hobbits because they shattered his personality by widely publicizing his corrupt nature and his having been forced to resign in disgrace from a powerful governmental post (and take a lowly private-sector bureaucratic job).
Even more seriously, they left a copy of a book (Breakthrough) on his porch at home, and brought a copy of the book to the university campus where he works, which is open to the public. Here are two examples of his insane ravings against hobbits (more context and video here, here, and here):
So, who is the most insane hobbit hater?
Readers will decide — just as readers decided on the World’s Scariest Dog. Please vote!
“He is the assistant dean for experiential learning”.
This should be a good experience for next semester, maybe he can take over as Assistant Supervisor at his neighborhood DQ if his bosses are at all with it…
P.S. Found you on Power Line, this should be fun!
